Without wishing to boast, I was on the radio, I was on the radio, I WAS ON THE RADIO!
Yes, it’s fair to say I was quite excited. I was chatting to Jon Wright about a monologue I’d written for the Ink Festival https://inkfestival.org/. This was a piece of fun to write, of a mistress spurned by lockdown. Because the festival couldn’t take place in person, it has migrated online and to the airwaves. I was very proud as a peacock that my piece was selected to be in company with a glorious mix of funny, poignant and barbed slices of life.
And, if lockdown has an upside, I hope it’s this – that creativity has flourished in all sorts of places. Voices are bursting out and having the opportunity to be heard. There has never been a time when you can hear a greater diversity of views and voices and that is definitely a cause for celebration…
